Lukomano "Joy" was born on May 28, 2017. Sadly, her 16 year old mother passed away just one hour after giving birth. She had returned to our area pregnant after a trip to the capitol city, and the father of Joy is unknown. Her grandparents and other female relatives are caring for many children of their own and were unable to care for Joy. Therefore, Joy was placed into New Day's permanent custody on June 2, 2017.
We are excited that Joy is our 31st child at New Day! It is a privilege to be the first ones to teach her about the love of Jesus Christ!
