Imagine losing one of your legs due to snakebite, a car accident, or diabetes. Now imagine living in rural Africa, struggling to reach the borehole each day to get water, unable to farm your land and grow maize, or not being able to attend school because your homemade crutches are broken.
New Day partnered with Prosthetic Promises in His Name in 2011 to begin providing prosthetic services to rural Zambians. Prosthetic Promises has provided prosthetic legs and eyes to over 50 patients who will forever be grateful. Each patient hears the Gospel of Jesus Christ as they receive their new prosthesis.
In 2016, construction was completed on a Prosthetic Clinic on the New Day campus. This clinic will provide the annual prosthetic team with a place to see patients, build prostheses, and conduct final fittings. It is our hopes that in the future, this clinic might be used for community projects such as health classes, medicine distribution, or even a health post!
